Convert an HSBC statement to Excel or CSV
HSBC does offer Excel (xls) and CSV, but through your transactions list, not your statements. Statements come as PDF, one month at a time, with no bulk download.
Tickvouch converts HSBC PDF statements to CSV or Excel in the browser. The file is not uploaded. Every conversion runs a reconciliation check: opening balance plus every transaction must equal the closing balance, shown as PASS or FAIL with the arithmetic.

Get your PDF statement from HSBC
Log on to HSBC UK online banking, open the quick links menu and select "Statements". Choose the statement type, then the year and month, and it downloads as a PDF. In the app: select the account, tap "View statements", then the month. Statements are usually monthly; credit cards get a monthly plus an annual statement.
Where the HSBC export stops
HSBC puts it plainly on its own page: other file formats such as Excel (xls) or csv are offered, but this has to be done via your transactions list. Statements themselves are PDF only, one month at a time, with no bulk multi-statement download. Twelve months of records is twelve separate downloads and twelve separate files.
One number to keep straight: the HSBC UK statements page says you can view old statements up to 6 years back. A different HSBC UK page says 5. We use the 6-year figure from the statements page and do not blend the two.
What Tickvouch does with it
Upload the HSBC PDF statement. Tickvouch reads the transaction table and writes a clean CSV or Excel file.
Every conversion is checked: opening balance plus every transaction must equal the closing balance. You see PASS or FAIL, with the arithmetic, before you download. A FAIL is never hidden.
The file never leaves your browser. Turn off your internet and convert anyway: it still works, which is how you check that claim instead of believing it.
Text-based e-statements only. Scanned statements are not supported yet, and Tickvouch says so instead of guessing.
Questions
Can HSBC export transactions as CSV?
Yes, through your transactions list, where HSBC offers Excel (xls) or csv. Statements themselves are PDF, so a statement means converting the PDF.
How far back can I get HSBC statements online?
HSBC UK’s statements page says up to 6 years in online or mobile banking. HSBC US offers up to 7 years of extended access to electronic deposit statements.
Is my statement uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs in your browser and the file never leaves your machine. Disconnect your internet and convert to prove it.
